Introducing Triennial Billing, Save 30% on Hosting

Log Processing Issues on Luna Resolved
We are pleased to report that we have resolved an issue occurring on our Luna server which caused website statistics available through cPanel to not be updated over the past few days. With this issue now resolved, statistics applications will begin to update within 24 hours.
Introducing Poseidon, Our New Powerhouse Server
Poseidon
We are pleased to announce the deployment of Poseidon, the newest member of the Varial Hosting server fleet. Poseidon is our new powerhouse server that all new web hosting and reseller hosting accounts will be installed on.
For the spec junkies out there, Poseidon is a 2U Dell PowerEdge R510 rackmount server featuring 2 Intel Xeon 5504 2.0GHz quad core processors, 16GB of RAM, 2 600GB 15K RPM SAS hot plug hard drives configured in a RAID-1 array for primary storage and a 1TB 7.2K RPM SAS hot plug hard drive for backup archiving. The server also boasts redundant hot plug power supplies and an iDRAC6 Enterprise remote access card.
Maintenance: PHP Upgrades
We are in the process of upgrading PHP 5 to version 5.2.13 across all of our servers. Momentary outages may occur as Apache is restarted and server performance may decrease as server loads reach high levels as this upgrade completes. Thank you for your patience.
PHP 5.2.13 is a bug-fix release and should not conflict with client scripts. If you experience any issues please contact our Support department.
Maintenance: Luna to be Relocated in Data Center
In the afternoon on Friday, April 23, 2010, we will be performing maintenance to the hardware in our data center and at that time we will be relocating our Luna server within our rack space in order to install additional equipment. We may be required to momentarily unplug the server while moving it within the rack so please be aware that downtime of approximately 15-60 minutes may occur.
We will update this post on Friday morning in order to give a more accurate estimate of when this maintenance and possible downtime will occur.
