CloudLinux
As part of our ongoing effort to improve server performance we have recently upgraded all CentOS 5 servers to CloudLinux, a commercial operating system designed for the web hosting industry that uses isolation technology to create lightweight virtual environments for all customers on the server that helps to avert any one user from trying to utilize too many system resources that could slow or take down an entire server. With CloudLinux we are able to improve server stability and ensure that the performance of your website is not impacted by the actions of other users on the server.

Ksplice Uptrack
Along with CloudLinux we have also installed a new technology across all servers called Ksplice Uptrack that allows us to install operating system kernel security updates without the need to reboot the server. Traditionally, Linux distributions require a reboot about once a month to stay up to date with important kernel security updates. With Ksplice Uptrack we are able to install these updates without the need to reboot the server, resulting in even better uptime for our customers!
