Add Premium WordPress Features with Jetpack
I recently stumbled upon Jetpack, a free plugin pack by the developers of WordPress that adds many of the premium features previously available only to WordPress.com users to your self-hosted WordPress installation.
Jetpack gives you detailed WordPress statistics, a Twitter widget, Gravatar hovercards, WP.me shortlinks, a social sharing tool, the ability to display mathematical equations, a spelling and grammar checker, and shortcode embeds for easily adding videos to your posts from sites like YouTube.
I can’t believe I’ve used WordPress for years without knowing about Jetpack. It’s a plugin that should be installed on every self-hosted WordPress site.
